Foundations of Clinician Educator Success (FOCUS), is a year-long faculty development program that aims to orient, onboard, and support new UPSOM faculty members in the clinician-educator pathway, and guide them to success in their educational and scholarly endeavors.
The program consists of two components—monthly sessions and a longitudinal mentoring program. The monthly session will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and dinner will be provided. The sessions will include topics such as CV curation, navigating clinician educator promotion pathways, creating an affirming and inclusive education environment, and managing crucial conversations, among others.
